Portal pages and iViews placed in the navigation can be indexed and appear in the search results with their full PCD URL
(e.g. /irj/portal?NavigationTarget=ROLES://...).These URLs are not user friendly.
If a QuickLink property exists on the object displayed in the search results, why not use it in the navigation target instead of that long url with all the unclear parameters?
The feature was implemented as part of the Enterprise Portal Customer Connection Program. It is available in NetWeaver Enterprise Portal 7.3 SP8 and NetWeaver Enterprise Portal 7.31 SP4.
To use the feature follow these steps:
- In the NetWeaver Administration, locate Application Modules.
- Find com.sap.portal.index.provider
- In the "Web Module details", choose SpiderIndexingService
- In the Portal Service Details, set the property enableQuickLinkInSearchResults to "true"
- Restart the service
- Reindex the portal
